CHILLICOTHE - Raymond J. Hills II "Chief" and "River City Gambler," 63, of Chillicothe passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria.
He was born March 29, 1949, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Raymond J. and Ethel Marie (Stewart) Hills.
Surviving are his children Raymond J. Hills of Pekin, Richard J. Hills, Randall W. Hills and Candace M. (James) Henderson, all of Chillicothe; and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Ronald Hills of Murphysboro, Tenn., Mike Salter of Creve Coeur, Ill., David Salter of Pekin, Ill., and Henry Salter of Chillicothe.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Raymond loved his grandchildren and "Hot Rides."
He was referred to as the River City Gambler and Chief on the CB.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Ill.
