Raymond Kerker
PEKIN - Raymond Lee Kerker, 85, of Pekin passed away at 11:25 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at his home.
Born May 27, 1933, in Peoria to Edward and Marguerite (Jung) Kerker, he married Donna Worlow on Sept. 27, 1954, in California. He later married Della Mae Roberts on April 23, 1988, in Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his wives; two grandsons, Matthew Boelk and Dennis Boelk; and his sister-in-law, Norma Kerker.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Boelk of Mendota and Deborah (David) Runkle of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one son, Edward Kerker of Fort Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren, Justin Boelk, Thomas Runkle, Robert Runkle, Michael Runkle and Sarah Kerker; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Kerker of Peoria; three sisters, Patricia Youngren of Washington, Joyce Schmidt of Bartonville and Mary Ellen (Ernest) Mahan; and his companion, Grace Smith.
Raymond had served in the United States Air Force.
He had worked for Wayne Feeds (Allied Mills) for 37 years, retiring in 1998.
Raymond enjoyed woodworking for many years.
His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with military honors provided by the United States Air Force and Tazewell Military Rites Team. Pastor Tom Pisano will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Fort Wayne, Ind.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OSF Hospice, 2265 W. Altorfer Drive, Peoria, IL 61615.
