HANNA CITY - Roger Passmore, 63, of rural Hanna City, Ill., died at his residence on Monday, May 14, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 16, 1949, in Peoria, Ill. He was the son of Merle and Marvel (Snodgrass) Passmore. He married Sharon Zipper on July 7, 1972, in Hanna City, Ill. She survives.
He is also survived by his mother, Marvel Passmore of Hanna City, Ill. He has two sons, Matthew (Robyn) Passmore of Bartonville, Ill., and Curt Passmore of Hanna City, Ill. Roger has four grandchildren, Chloe Lockhart, Jack Passmore, Kendra Passmore and Cole Passmore. He has one brother, Steven (Diane) Passmore of Hanna City, Ill., and one sister, Cindy (Willie) Parr of Trivoli, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Roger worked 37 years at Fleming and Potter as a pressman, retiring in 2004.
He loved caring for and handling horses.
He was a Vietnam Army veteran.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 18, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Smithville Cemetery in Smithville, Ill.
