NORTH PEKIN - Rosemary Aldene Faichney, 67, of North Pekin passed away at 10:35 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Sept. 25, 1945, in North Hampton, England, to Ellsworth and Marjorie (Church) Prouty, she married William Faichney on Aug. 30, 1963, in North Pekin. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last weekend. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Rebekka (Wesley) Durm of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Karen (Shannan) Bultemeier of Pekin; six grandchildren, Meagan Allsup, Jake Durm, Justyn Hughes, Chance Durm, Sean Durm and Madysen Bultemeier; one sister, Barb O'Grady of Bartonville; and two brothers, Kevin Prouty of St. Peters, Mo., and Roger Prouty of Vero Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Rosemary was a cafeteria lady for North Pekin-Marquette Heights School District 102 early in her career. She later worked at La Gondola in Pekin, retiring in 2006.
She loved spending time with her family. She also loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing.
Her memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home in Pekin. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory.
