Sidney was one of the first four year Machinist Apprentices at Caterpillar and her daughter Judy and I followed Sidney's lead there. I remember Sidney getting her motorcycle after retirement and thought how she was never afraid to move forward to something new. She'll still be leading now.

On my visit to Rosewood today,I learned of Sidney's passing. She had been my mother's roommate. I grew very fond of her through the years. We always held hands & talked. I found that given the time she would ask and answer questions. I will miss her. Even if my mother wasn't in her room, I would stop by to say hello to Sidney. I am sorry I never meet her family. My sympathy to all of you.

Judy,
God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.I didn't really know cousin Sidney, I hadn't seen her since I was very young and at your Uncle Sam's wedding. I'm sure she had a good and full life and a family who loved her dearly.
