PONTIAC - Thelma Rose Rivard, 86, of Pontiac died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at ASTA Care Center in Pontiac.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac, with the Rev. Michael Krippel officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery in Pontiac. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home in Pontiac.
Memorials may be made to the Pontiac Public Library or Salvation Army.
She was born July 12, 1924, in Pontiac, to William and Anna Browell Crosiar. She married Herbert Cagley on Dec. 16, 1944, and was later divorced. She then married Leo Rivard in 1958, whom she later divorced.
She is survived by two sons, Teddy "Ted" Cagley of Pontiac and Daniel (Debbie) Rivard of Pontiac; four daughters, Toni (Michael) Krippel of Normal, Terry (Gary) Holaway of Normal, Tina (Jim) Matthews of Wayne City and Julie (Tom) Doss of Heyworth; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; one grandson, David Holaway; two brothers, Ed Crosiar and Kenneth Crosiar; and four sisters, Mildred Billington, Bea Johnson, Betty Leach and Violet Crosiar.
Thelma had been an office assistant for the Pontiac Elementary 429 School District. During World War II, she worked at Brockton Heel in Pontiac.
She was educated in Pontiac schools.
