PEORIA - Willie James Miller, 63, of Peoria passed away and was sent home to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Timbercreek Rehab and Healthcare Center.
He was born May 20, 1950, in Drew, Miss., to the late Ramsey Curry and Corine Sutton.
Willie loved to spend time with family, friends and listen to music.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his mother, Corine Sutton of Peoria; one son, Darius Miller, one daughter, Laquita Miller, and one grandchild, La'Darius Miller, all of Peoria; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved and adored him.
He was preceded in death by his father and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, at T.W. Parks Colonel Chapel, 201 N. MacArthur Highway, with visitation commencing one hour prior at 9 a.m. Elder Ralph White will officiate. Willie will be laid to rest at Camp Butler National Cemetery, 5063 Camp Butler Road, Springfield, Ill. Arrangements were made especially for Willie's family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel.
