MORTON - Everett M. Streenz, 89, of Mount Pulaski, the father of a Morton man, died at 6:06 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.
Everett was born Sept. 22, 1921, in Bloomington, Ill., the son of Erwin C. and Amelia "Molly" Ploense Streenz. He married Wilna Emery on May 23, 1943, in Austin Township, Macon County, Ill. She preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2010.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, Ill. Burial with full military rites will follow at Harristown Cemetery in Harristown. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Memorials my be made to Mount Pulaski Methodist Church or American Legion Post 447.
He is survived by his son, Kim L. (Delores) Streenz of Morton; his daughter, Penni R. (James) Alexander of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Dayna and Adam Streenz, Zachary and Marlise Wachter and Adam and Jessica Alexander; one great-grandson, Owen Connor Roberts; and one brother, Ted Streenz Sr.
