EAST PEORIA - Troy R. Allen Sr., age 61, of East Peoria passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 9:16 a.m. at his residence.
He was born Nov. 18, 1950, in Amery, Miss., to Sam R. and Willie Mae Allen. He married Juanita Seeley on March 10, 1989, in Pekin.
She survives along with three sons, Troy Allen Jr. of East Peoria, Chad Allen of Alabama and Jerry (Amanda) Allen of Alabama; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Caroline (Larry) Hall of Nettleton, Miss., and Martha Cowley of Amery, Miss.; and four brothers, Delbert (Talley) McCullen of Mississippi, Dewey Allen, Robbie Allen and Duke Allen, all of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one brother and three sisters.
Troy worked as a barge hand in Mississippi.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 7, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Buckeye Cemetery in Morton.
