PEORIA - Everett E. McCormick, 79, of Peoria died at 6:32 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Heartland of Peoria.
He was born Oct. 29, 1934, in Effingham to Willard T. and Ella Mae Deramiah McCormick. He married Marilyn McClintock on June 28, 1958, in Peoria. She preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 1997, also in Peoria. He later married Loma Mills on Sept. 22, 2013, in Peoria. She survives.
He also is survived by his daughter, Tammy (James) Botts of Peoria; his aunt, Margie Jett of Peoria; one niece; and two nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Timothy J. McCormick; and his sister.
Everett served his nation during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army ROTC.
He was a graduate of Bradley University and worked as a sound engineer for Caterpillar Inc. for 37 years.
He was a member of the Universalist Unitarian Church of Peoria and Orpheus Club of Peoria.
Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Peoria. The Rev. Dr. Michael Brown and the Rev. Dr. John Spohn will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.
