Peoria Heights resident was 100
PEORIA HEIGHTS - Maxine E. Graham, 100, of Peoria Heights passed away at 1:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Rosewood Care Center of Peoria.
Maxine was born Nov. 4, 1913, in Hazel Green County, Iowa, to Alexander and Carrietta French Graham.
Surviving are her nieces and nephew, Stuart Higgs of Bremerton, Wash., Jean Weisling of Oconomowoc, Wis., Jo Ogea of Salt Lake City, Utah, Carolyn Mann of Fallon, Nev., Kay Sempel of Alexandria, Va., and Maggie Endicott of Marsing, Idaho; many great-nephews and great-nieces; and many great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces. In addition to her family, Maxine is survived by many loving neighbors and friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters and one niece, Loretta Osborn.
Maxine worked for Dr. Alice Ferdinand as a registered nurse for 45 years, retiring June 20, 1991.
She was a member of the American Nurses Association, Illinois Nurses Association and was an alumnus of Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Maxine was a member of First Federated Church in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at The Wilton Mortuary, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. Dr. Forrest L. Krummel will officiate. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to a favorite
in Maxine's name.
