She also was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Sexton and his wife, Terri; grandchild, Patrick O'Brien; son-in-law, Walt Gerard Sr.; and many wonderful friends and family she will be joined with in heaven who went before her.

Phyllis ran the Book Emporium for most of her working career. She loved reading.
She also, when attending Bradley University, won a menu cooking contest.
The biggest question our grandma and grandpa would ask, "How much money do you have saved?" They both would save a dollar from every 10 dollars made. Second question was when shopping, "Do you want that or do you need that?"
Memorial services are at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 21, 2014. Family is asking for privacy as they say their last goodbyes to Phyllis. Service will be located at the chapel (a frame building) inside Swan Lake Cemetery.
