GLASFORD - Clarabel Cluney, 86, of Glasford, Ill., passed away at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014, at her residence.
She was born March 12, 1928, in Canton, Ill., to Dale and Georgia (Snider) Fouts. She married Harley Cluney on July 30, 1949, in Canton. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are four children, Barbara Duquenne of Peoria, Julianna (Jon) Herreid of Eureka, Ellen (Randall) Jennings Fairfield of Jacksonville and Mitchell (Cheryl) Cluney of Glasford; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Drexel (Linda) Fouts of Peoria; and her grand-dog, Baxter.
Also preceding her in death was a grandchild, Aaron Duquenne.
Clarabel was a homemaker and helped Harley on the farm.
She was a charter member of Canton Assembly of God Church, where she taught Sunday school and played the organ for many years.
She loved quilting, knitting, crocheting, sewing and gardening.
Special thanks to the hospice angels, family and friends who have helped with her care over the past year and to her good friend, Eleanor Gerdes.
Services will be Friday, March 21, at 12 noon at Canton Assembly of God Church, with visitation two hours prior. Pastor Greg White will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
