PEORIA - Sandra A. Sullivan, 74, of Peoria died at 6:25 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at her residence.
She was surrounded by her loving family and her faithful canine companion, Alfie, was by her side.
She was born Oct. 17, 1939, in Canton, Ohio, to David and Ferne Engelka Campbell. She married Roger Sullivan on Sept. 2, 1961, in Fairview, Ill. They spent 52 wonderful years together. He was the love of her life and he survives.
Also surviving are her two children, Michael Sullivan of Peoria and Suzanne (Lon) Atterberry of Washburn; one sister, Betsie Pavilonis of Auburn, Wash.; one grandson, Roger K. Sullivan; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Leah, Logan and Brody.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In the early 1960s, Sandra was employed by Carson Pirie Scott as a fashion illustrator in the art advertising department. She loved to paint and was an avid oil and water color artist.
She was a member of Glen Oak Christian Church in Peoria.
There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is handling arrangements. Inurnment will be at a later date in her hometown of Sommerset, Pa.
