DUNLAP - Michael John Boley, 45, of Dunlap, formerly of Washington, Ill., died at 2:35 a.m. April 22, 2014.
Michael was born March 18, 1969, to Anne and Warren Boley of Washington, Ill.
He is survived by his beloved parents; siblings, Warren (Nancy Loughlin) of Sacramento, Calif., Frank (Marla) Boley of Washington, Ill., Joe (Julie) Boley of Austin, Texas, and MaryAnne (Bob) O'Keefe of Wilmette, Ill.; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Raised in Washington, Ill., Mike graduated from Bradley University with a liberal arts degree. For over 20 years, Mike worked at Boley Tool & Machine Works, Inc.
He loved traveling, especially to Key West, New Orleans and Spain. He was an avid art, comic and pulp enthusiast and had a passion for reading and popular culture. He had lived in San Diego for a number of years and loved the sunshine and beaches there. His unique style, wit, straightforwardness and kind heart will be forever missed by his family and friends.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Franciscan Fathers will officiate. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
