CHILLICOTHE - Christine D. Clemann, 89, of Chillicothe, Ill., formerly of Moline, Ill., passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Heritage Health in Chillicothe.
Services are at 11 a.m. today at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4107 21st Ave., Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Moline.
Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline.
Arrangements are entrusted to Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 Seventh Ave., Rock Island, Ill.
Christine was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Manila, Philippines, one of 26 children born to Isaac and Victoria (Guezarra) Dizer. She married Alvin A. Clemann on Dec. 21, 1946, in Manila, Philippines. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1991.
Christine worked in the cafeteria of the John Deere Administration Building for 25 years.
She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline.
Christine enjoyed bowling and bowled in the Immanuel Lutheran Church League for many years.
Surviving are her children (and spouses), Edward D. (Margaret) Clemann of Rock Island, Elizabeth L. (William) Johnson of St. Clair Shores, Mich., Alvin A. (Elizabeth) Clemann Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Mary C. (William) Bond of Chillicothe, Ill., and William J. (Hilda) Clemann of Chantilly, Va.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and several brothers and sisters.
