MACOMB - Rosalie "Rosie" Dilts, 71, of Macomb passed away at 11 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at her residence.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1942, in Hancock County, Ill., to Bernard "Ben" and Clarice "Maxine" Miller Appeldorn.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Walker of Macomb; her children, Tony Spilker of Quincy, Kelly (Brad Cobern) Windoffer of Quincy and Shannon (Wendy) Walker of Quincy; her grandchildren, Tia Windoffer, Tucker Cobern, Cristen Spilker, Michael Spilker, Brady Walker, Bella Walker and Bristol Walker, all of Quincy; sisters, Janice "Jan" Miller of Macomb, Carolyn Ellerman of Mendon and MariLea "Snooks" (Jerry) Lowe of Carthage; a brother-in-law, Robert (Shirley) Walker of Paducah, Ky.; an aunt, Gladys Lanning of Mendon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cindy Cogburn; mother-in-law, Dera Sexton; brothers-in-law, Francis Miller and Johnnie Ellerman; and one nephew, Jeff Miller.
Rosie was a graduate of Mendon High School. She has lived in Macomb since 1975.
She worked in retail sales at County Market.
She loved bowling, Cardinals baseball games and doing crossword puzzles. She was a pitcher for the Quincy Jets women's fastpitch softball team.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Graveside services will be held at Calvert City Cemetery in Calvert City, Ky., next week.
