Morton - Lee McHenry, 53, of Morton passed away at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria.
He was born Aug. 17, 1960, in Athens, Greece. He married Joanne Schaub on June 8, 1985, in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife, Joanne McHenry of Morton; one son, Steven McHenry of Morton; his parents, Harold and Norma McHenry of East Peoria; and one sister, Kristen (Kent) Chapman of Groveland.
He served with the United States Air Force from 1979 to 1981. Lee was employed at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria for 32 years, last working as a cardiovascular systems coordinator.
He was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel in East Peoria and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Lee was passionate about playing his guitar and using it to worship the Lord.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Harvest Bible Chapel in East Peoria, with Pastor Tim Harkness and Pastor Kent Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, and from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, both at Harvest Bible Chapel in East Peoria. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton, with full military rites being conducted by the United States Air Force.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Harvest Bible Chapel in East Peoria or Camp of Champions in Pekin.
