CREVE COEUR - Lillian Ehrett, 70, of Creve Coeur passed away at 4:10 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at her residence.
She has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Born Dec. 7, 1943, in Chicago to Bert and Marge (Goodman) Ashbrook, she married Donald Ehrett on Oct. 7, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died April 28, 2012, in East Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are one son, Kevin (Vickie) Martin; two stepsons, Dan Ehrett and Dirk Ehrett; one stepdaughter, Krista Vonderheide; two grandchildren, Luke and Logan Martin; four stepgrandchildren, Luke Vonderheide, Colin Ritchason and Damon and Lauren Ehrett; one sister, Connie (Don) Joswick; her niece, Cynthia Russeau; and great-nieces, Elizabeth and Katherine.
Lillian was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Marquette Heights, where she had served and worshipped.
She had worked for Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria in the benefits payable department. She retired in 1999 as a supervisor, after 20 years of service, in order to take care of her ailing parents. She later joined her husband in the longtime family business at Ehrett's Hardware in Creve Coeur.
Services to celebrate Lillian's life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor Chris Bigger will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
