PEORIA - Angel Moore, 33, of Peoria, Ill., passed away peacefully Sunday, July 6, 2014, at her mother's home, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Peoria on Oct. 24, 1980, to Lois Moore and Eugene Pitchford.
Angel is survived by her loving children, La'Renshia Moore, Jazzie Alston and Roberico Alston; one granddaughter, La'Rijah Moore; her mother, Lois Moore; her father, Eugene Pitchford; six sisters, Henrietta Moore, Stormy Moore Jones, Naomi (Jeffery) Harris of Peoria, Irene Smith, Valerie Gray of Galesburg, Ill., and Faye Peterson of Milwaukee, Wis.; six brothers, Robert Clark of Galesburg, Henry Moore of Rockford, Ill., Tyrone Moore of Orlando, Fla., and Roberto Moore, Ricardo Moore and L.C. Moore, all of Peoria; her adopted mother, Ruth Powell; a host of nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Le'Etta McCloud and Jeffery "B.J." Shingles.
Angel was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lerlie Moore and John Moore Sr.; uncle, John Moore Williams Jr.; one sister, Annette Robertson; three brothers, Olando Pitchford, Eugene "Kim" Pitchford and Dorvas "Dodo" Pitchford.
Angel worked as a cafeteria manager for District 150 for many years, working at Woodrow Wilson, Trewyn and Harrison schools and she was also employed at Popeye's Chicken.
Angel was a member of Grace Apostolic Assembly.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Simons Mortuary, with a one hour visitation beginning at 9 a.m. The Rev. Spencer Gibson Jr. will officiate. Angel will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.
