PRINCEVILLE - Lincoln F. Huber Sr., 92, of rural Princeville died at 11:14 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
He was born June 8, 1918, in Williamsfield, the son of Ray H. and Edna DeVries Huber. He married Shirley A. Wick on Feb. 12, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo.
She survives along with one son, Lincoln R. Huber of Princeville; four grandsons; one great-granddaughter; two great-grandsons; one brother, Howard Huber of Galva; and one sister, Marcella (Wilbur) Weber of LaFayette.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda L. Casey-Connelly; one infant brother, Carl; and one infant grandson, Lincoln III.
Link was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was a lifelong farmer in Jubilee Township.
He was a life member of the American Legion Post in Brimfield, a member of VFW Gold Star Post 1255, Princeville, and of the Kickapoo Sportsman's Club. He was also a member of the Princeville United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. George Smith will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
