BARTONVILLE - Mildred Polson, 98, of Bartonville passed away at 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at her residence.
Mildred was born in Bartonville on Jan. 19, 1914, the daughter of Robert and Etta (Noel) Bradley. She married Chester A. Polson in Bartonville on Sept. 14, 1946.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann (Eric) Dolanc of Dunlap; two grandsons, Scott Dolanc of Bartonville and Sean Dolanc of Dunlap; two sisters-in-law, Eileen Siddle of Bartonville and Phyllis Birdsell of Pekin; and several nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, her parents and seven sisters and two brothers.
She worked at the Peoria State Hospital in Medical Records for 17 years.
Mildred was a member of Bartonville United Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Bartonville Women's Club.
Mildred also loved to read. Some of her favorite authors were Maeve Binchy, Belva Plain and Peter Pezzelli.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Linda Richard will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
