PEORIA - Mr. Francis Williams, 89, 1518 W. John H. Gwynn Jr. Ave., Peoria, Ill., passed away peacefully at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Proctor Hospital.
Francis was born in Peoria to proud parents, Frank and Mollie (Smith) Williams. Francis married Kathlyn Julia Gibson and have shared many years of matrimony together.
Francis leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his loving and devoted wife, Kathlyn Williams; three stepsons, Edward W. (Geraldine) Jackson, Donald R. (Ernestine) Jackson and James W. (Mary C.) Jackson, all of Peoria; one stepdaughter, Patricia Perry of Peoria; one sister, Agnes White of Chicago; a special niece, Daon Boone of Washington State; a favorite grandnephew, Kalea Boone; and a host of other relatives and friends who adored him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Lloyd and Imogene Williams Boone Chandler.
Francis attended St. Boniface Grade School, now St. Ann's Parish.
He retired from Pabst Brewing Company after many years of service. He was a park police officer for the Peoria Park District and was affiliated with the Fraternal Order of Police and the Benevolent Police Association.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1010 S. Louisa St., Peoria, with a visitation one hour prior beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Terry Cassidy will officiate. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
