KEWANEE - Edward Andrew Klimkewicz, 81, of Kewanee died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today, March 22, at Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church. The Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church.

He was born Oct. 31, 1931, in Kewanee, the son of Matthew and Helena "Helen" (Kuligowska) Klimkewicz. He married June A. Winter on June 5, 1954, in Kewanee.

She survives, as do two sons, Matthew Klimkewicz of Pekin, Ill., and Irvin (Ann) Klimkewicz of Kaiser, Mo.; five grandchildren, Cassidy (Mark) Stombaugh, Jake (Megan) Klimkewicz, Chelsea Klimkewicz, Alex Klimkewicz and Kaylee (Troy) Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Hudson and Lydia Stombaugh and Addison and Tessa Anderson; and two sisters, Regina Saigh and Irene Dir, both of Kewanee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Steve Pozio; a sister, Bernice Hosle; and a great-granddaughter in infancy, Zoey Milka.

Edward graduated from Kewanee High School in 1949.

He was co-owner of E&H Auto for 33 years until his retirement in 1997.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church and had served as treasurer for many years and also served as a trustee.

He enjoyed gardening and tinkering.
