PEKIN - Teri Sue Bahnfleth, 47, of Pekin passed away at 9:37 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at her home.
She was born July 24, 1965, in Peoria to William and Barbara (Ball) Bahnfleth.
Surviving are one son, Ricky (Bridget) Wood of East Peoria; two daughters, Lynse Ujinski of Pekin and Brittney Petty of Peoria; one grandson, Kaiden Haman; her mother and stepfather, Barbara "Bobbi" and Bill Baum of Bandera, Texas; grandmother, Lois "Polly" Ball of Morton; one sister, Angi (Mark) Lensmeyer of Peoria; and two brothers, Chuck (Farrah) Bahnfleth of East Peoria and Billy Bahnfleth of Bandera, Texas.
Her father preceded her in death.
She served in the United States Army for four years and in the United States Air Force for 18 years, where she served two years in Iraq.
Teri was a police officer in central Illinois for many years, working for the Morton Police Department, Peoria Police Department, North Pekin Police Department, and last for the Metamora Police Department.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria.
Teri enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a supporter of both ALS and Muscular Dystrophy. She was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Her visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Private graveside services will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, with Pastor Kurt Mews officiating. Military rites will be accorded.
