PEORIA - Christopher C. Kamp, 62, of Peoria passed away early Monday morning on July 22, 2013, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1950, in Peoria, the son of Howard and Priscilla Cranford Kamp.
Surviving are one son, Patrick Kamp; one sister, LeeAnne Wheatley; and stepchildren, Sarah Brenning, Heather Brenning, JJ Segler and Chris Segler.
His parents preceded him in death.
He was a lifelong resident of Peoria, serving in the Air National Guard.
He was a longtime member of Operative Plasters and Cement Masons Association and was a gentle and kind-hearted soul who left many friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded, with a celebration of his life being held from 2 to 4 p.m., with a 3 p.m. prayer reading on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
