KEWANEE - Clifford D. Wys, 80, of Kewanee, formerly of Pekin, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at his residence, with family by his side.

He was born on May 6, 1933, in Peoria, the son of Earl F. and Helen C. Dillion Wys. He married Agnes "Susie" Price on Feb. 18, 1956, in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife of Kewanee and their children, Bryan (Cynthia) Wys, Karen Petty, Sue (Doug) Bowman, Jill Coats and Rick Wys. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Julia Anderson, Twila (Bill) Barlow and Connie (Doyle) Collins; and one brother, Earl (Janet) Wys.

His parents and one brother, Elmer, preceded him in death.

He was an honorably discharged U.S. Navy veteran.

He worked for the TP&W Railroad in East Peoria, last working as a switchman before his retirement in 1993.

He was a devoted member of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kewanee.

Cremation rites have been accorded, with a memorial service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at the East Peoria Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
