Wanda Trent Obituary

PEORIA - Wanda L. Trent, age 63, of Peoria passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, in her home, surrounded by family.

Wanda had a strong and courageous fight with paralysis since 1993, and later in life with cancer.

Born June 21, 1950, in Peoria, Wanda was a daughter to Samuel and Nancy June Sizemore-Bushong. She married Eldon Trent on Oct. 24, 1983, in Peoria.

Wanda worked as a cosmetic sales consultant for Famous Barr, while also contributing most of her life to the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was past state president and state secretary of Fraternal Order of Eagles, as well as past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Peoria Aerie 265. Wanda will be remembered for her love of traveling all over the country, raising money for various charities, her passion, belief and commitment to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her mother, Nancy Bushong of Rock Falls, Ill.; husband, Eldon Trent of Peoria; one daughter, Amy S. Pemble-Fryer of Peoria; one son, Richard J. Pemble of East Peoria; and four grandchildren, Zachary M. Pemble Barnes, Dakota L. Pemble Barnes, Collin J. Pemble Barnes and Sydney Marie Pemble Lawless; as well as one sister, Samuela Cecelia Myers-Bushong of Rock Falls, Ill.

Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Bushong; one sister, Nancy Lee Bushong; and two brothers, Jackie Lee Daugherty and Ricky Bushong.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014, between the hours of 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel, 2021 N. University, Peoria, IL 61604. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made in Wanda's memory to the Spina Bifida Association, 4590 MacArther Blvd. NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20007.

Funeral arrangements have been made under the direction and care of Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
