Floyd Robison Obituary
METAMORA - Floyd R. Robison, 71, of Metamora passed away at 8:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at Washington Christian Village.
He was born June 17, 1943, in Bloomington, Ill., to Floyd O. and Dorothy J. Sherman Robison. He married Mary Ann Downey in Las Vegas, Nev., on Sept. 23, 1992. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel (and Stephen) Robison of California and Jeffrey Robison of Peoria; and grandson, Landon.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Floyd was a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. He served in the United States Army Reserves.
He worked at Komatsu for 46 years, retiring in January of 2013.
He was a member of the Spring Bay American Legion Post 1115 and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Memorial contributions may be made to Illinois Cancer Care in Peoria.
Floyd's funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
