As I struggled to compose a note of encouragement and comfort during this time of loss, I turned to the ultimate source of all comfort. Below are a couple verses I would like to share.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~ Romans 8:38-39
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ~ John 14:27
Uncle Jim, may you rest in the arms of Jesus and your soul find rest.
Love,
your niece,
Christina

We will always remember your passion for flying. It is fitting now that we share one of your favorite poems.
High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things you have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue, I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace where never lark, or even eagle flew - and, while with silent lifting mind I've trod the high un-trespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of God.
We Love you and miss you.

I remember your infectious laugh (especially when you pulled pranks), your sense of humor, your nightly chats with Dad, our in-depth discussions, your beautiful poetry, your drawings, and your infatuation with planes. . I remember happier times of you and Dad strumming away on your guitars and composing music. One song you composed, " I'm So Lonesome in a Room Full of People..." has a special place in my heart. May you have the peace you deserve and may you never be lonely again. Give Mom and Dad and our loved ones a kiss for me until I see you again. You will always be my big brother. I love you.

You had the gift of telling a story in a way that captured my heart. You gave life and dimension to your fondest memories, and added a little humor which kept me captivated as a child. You are now joined by your loved ones who wait for you in heaven. May you experience peace, love and joy for eternity. Until we meet again...Love Always, Your niece, Anna
