PEORIA - Phyllis A. Keefer, 64, of Peoria passed away at 3:49 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2007, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born on March 31, 1943, in Peoria to George Otto and Alma Leona Shaffer Eppy.
Surviving are her mother, Alma L. Eppy of Washington, Ill.; one son, Troy Keefer of Peoria; two daughters, Tami (Lyndle) Toland of Metamora and Tonya (Scott) Buhl of Peoria; five grandchildren, Gregory, Troy Jr., Lyndsey, Hailey and Hannah; 21 stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Clara (Jim) Milby of Peoria and Joann (Bill) Cupples of Metamora; and Terry Stewart Sr., with whom she shared her home. Also surviving is her former husband, Robert Keefer.
She was preceded in death by her father and one sister.
She first worked at Foster & Gallagher for 13 years and then as supervisor at Baskin Robbins in Peoria, last working in May.
Phyllis loved to spend hours in her garden and loved playing with her grandkids. She loved life.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with Pastor Steve Weber officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Phyllis Keefer Fund in care of Wright & Salmon Mortuary.
