Alberta Elnora Barry passed away May 6, 2012 at her home. She was 85 years old.
Alberta was born October 5, 1927 to Albert and Millie Lunceford. Alberta was born and raised in Sacramento California, attended Grant Union High School and worked for Pacific Telephone and McCellan Air Force after graduation.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Wesley Barry; her parents, Albert and Millie Lunceford; her sister, Agnes Conley; her brother, Buddy Lunceford; and a grandson, Hunter Stuart.
She met Wesley, a resident of Lincoln Calif.) at a bricklayers' dance, they dated, fell in love and were married July 18, 1947 in Carson City Nevada. From then on she was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mom and friend of the highest caliber. She and Wes raised four children, Sue Carlson (Bob) of Lincoln, Margie McKinney (Chris) of Granite Bay, Rick Barry (Pam) of Granite Bay and Bob Barry (Joe) of Caldwell Idaho.
She is survived by her children and brother, Joe Lunceford (Betty) of Carmichael. Alberta was adored by and will be sorely missed by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren as well as several friends she and Wes had made throughout the years. Alberta will definitely be remembered as the thread that intertwines and supports family and friends through the zigzags and triumphs of life.
