Annie E. Gingerich, 81, of Plain City, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 19, 2013 at her residence.
Born March 28, 1932 in Plain City.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and hospitality; especially attending to her children's and grandchildren's wants and wishes. She was a member of the Gideons International and served the church as a Sunday School Teacher and also served on the food and sewing committees.
Preceded in death by her parents, Eli A. and Sarah N. (Troyer) Miller; husband of 41 years, Alvin C. Gingerich on Oct. 5, 1994; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister; 2 brothers.
Survived by children, Marlene (Robert) Yoder of Plain City, Glen (Julia) Gingerich of Nashwauk, Minn., Arleta (Roy) Longenecker of Mifflinburg, Pa., Ruth (Richard) Foster of Bethel and Titus (Rose) Gingerich of Unionville Center; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Ura Miller of Sandy Lake, Pa.
The family received friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at the United Bethel Mennonite Church, 11342 Lafayette-Plain City Road, where the funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 and visitation from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Lonnie Miller officiated. Burial was at the church cemetery.
