Ronald Dean Flowers, sunrise Dec. 15, 1939, sunset Tuesday, March 12, 2013, age 74.
He graduated from Central High School, Columbus, Ohio 1957. Graduated from The Ohio State University 1967.
Worked for Bell & Howell Document Management Division for 35 years.
He was a Jack of all trades. Loved to build things and work in the yard. He built the house he lived in for 40 years. He was responsible for the construction of the Plain City Bicentennial Park, something which he was very proud of doing.
He was a joker and kidder which drove his wife crazy.
Preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Lucille Flowers in 1991 and 2002.
He will be missed by the love of his life his wife of 56 years who survives him, Patty (Chandler) Flowers. He also is survived by four children who gave meaning and purpose to his life, Ronald (Lori) Flowers, Suzan (Andy) Byrum, David (Penny) Flowers, Michael Flowers; plus his has eight grandchildren who gave him so much joy and fun. Besides these grandchildren he leaves behind two great-grandchildren who gave him hope for the future. He also had a half-sister, Sharon Flowers; a sister-in-law, Linda (Jack) Lower; a brother-in-law, Richard (Barbara) Chandler. In addition to all these people who he loved he leaves behind a group of fellow Christians from the Abundant Life Fellowship who he loved greatly. People who meant the world and all to him and who helped him live a better life.
He had a long struggle with his illness but at least he is at peace with his heavenly Father. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
