Mary Ann (Hostetler) Beach, on Monday afternoon, June 10, 2013, an incredible lady, left this life exactly as she wanted, in her house, in her bed, with her family, a month short of her 80th birthday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi M. and Elizabeth (Kauffman) Hostetler; siblings, Orpha, Simon, Menno, Alvin, Tony, Levi, Celesta and Mose.
Her loving legacy is carried on by her survivors, sisters, Betty Sommers and Katherine Troyer; husband of 41 years, John Henry Beach; sons, Bud (Kimberlie) Schrock, Don Schrock; granddaughters, Kendalyn (David) Smith and Karissa (Jason) Caudill; great-granddaughter, Kaelyn Reese Caudill; stepchildren, Linda Sue (Randy) Beachy and Thomas Beach; as well as many special nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary Ann waged a valiant 6-year fight against leukemia lymphoma, and beat all odds and life expectancies. She had good and bad days, but never complained or had self pity. She simply stared the disease down long enough to see her great-granddaughter almost reach the age of two, to see her granddaughter get her 4.0 GPA masters from The Ohio State University, and three weeks ago attended her granddaughters wedding.
The family will receive family and friends from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Northwest Bible Church, 6639 Scioto Darby Road, Hilliard. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 3-4 p.m. immediately following visitation. Pastor Ken Harrell will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Loving Care Hospice of Union County, 779 London Ave., Marysville, OH 43040.
Special thank you to the staff of Memorial Hospital in Marysville and especially Miriam Miller of Loving Care Hospice.
