BRIAN K. BRILL
MARYSVILLE — Brian K. Brill, 57, of Milford Center, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at his home.
He was a partner in the Rummell-Brill Insurance Agency in Plain City for the past 28 years.
Following graduation from OSU, he worked at the Ohio Soil Service in Milford Center for 7 years before joining Rummell-Brill.
Brian was very devoted to his children and their activities, but also activities that involved children in general. He has served many years as the treasurer of the Union County Horse Committee and received the Friends of 4-H Award honoring him for his commitment to 4-H. His involvement with youth also led him to be a troop leader with Boy Scout Troop No. 158 in Milford Center and coach with the Youth at Fairbanks in the summer ball leagues and winter basketball.
Brian was a skilled woodworker and mechanic. He enjoyed the challenge of fixing and repairing anything from computers to farm equipment. He was also a N-Scale Train collector.
He was born Jan. 16, 1956 in Marysville, to the late William B. and Rose Mary Adams Brill.
Brian is survived by his wife, Jenny Rummell Brill; their children, Roselynn N. (Tyler) Sherwood of Marysville, William J. "Will" Brill of the home; a grandson, Brian Drake Sherwood; and a sister, Brenda K. Brill of Milford Center.
A gathering of family of friends were held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the INGRAM FUNERAL HOME, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, where funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, with the Rev. Steven Wood officiating. Burial followed at Milford Center Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Brian's memory may be made to the Union County Horse Committee and 4-H Horse Council to benefit the youth of 4-H.
