Janice R. Weese, 80, of Marysville and formerly of Unionville Center, died Tuesday morning, July 16, 2013, at Heartland of Marysville.
She was a longtime member of VFW Post No. 3268 Auxiliary in Plain City and enjoyed reading, Bingo and bowling.
Janice was born July 6, 1933 in Mechanicsburg, to the late Clayton and Easie Ferryman Edwards.
She married James E. Weese in Mechanicsburg April 25, 1953. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 2007.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy D. (Theresa) Weese of Unionville Center, Robert E. (Wanda) Weese of Marysville; five grandchildren, Billy M. Weese, Tara J. (Jeremy) Amick, Kimberly (Genaro) Munos, Kari (James) Reece, Kyle (Alex) Weese; eight great-grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph, Cameron, Tatum, Roman, Gabriel, Jasmine, Scott; sisters, Wanda McFan of Urbana, Evelyn Harner of Bellefontaine, Connie Anderson of South Vienna; a brother, Vernon Edwards of Michigan; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Edwards of Mechanicsburg.
Calling hours were held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the INGRAM FUNERAL HOME, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013. The Rev. Steve Waltman officiated. Burial followed at Unionville Center Cemetery.
