Joni Rae Simpson Vance, 54, of Plain City, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marion.
She was born Oct. 20, 1959 in Marysville.
She was predeceased by her father, Franklin K. "Pick" Simpson and Madelyn Marie Smith Clapham; a brother, Michael Franklin Simpson; and two sisters, Debra Lynn Simpson Large and Carleen L. Simpson Mackey.
A devoted wife and homemaker, she was a former security guard and also a past childcare provider.
She is survived by her husband, James B. "Jim" Vance of Plain City; a stepdaughter, Kimberly (Troy) Bragg of Ashley; her stepmother, Amy Simpson and a brother, Glenn Simpson, both of Marysville; three sisters, NaNette (Tom) Taylor of Marysville, Sherry (Mike Welty) Martin of Mount Gilead and Kathy (Gary) Williams of Marion; and many other relatives.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at UNDERWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 703 E. Fifth St., Marysville, where the family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. Kevin Tilley will officiate.
