Wanda Doig, 62, of Plain City, Ohio, passed away suddenly Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at her residence.
Born Dec. 10, 1950 in Hesston, Kansas.
Wanda retired as a waitress after 16 years of service at Der Dutchman, Plain City.
She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and was engaged in conservative politics.
Preceded in death by parents, Elmer P. and Violet (Bender) Zehr.
Survived by loving husband, John R. Doig whom she married Aug. 21, 1971; children, Amanda Jean (Tom) Steele of Tuscarawas, Ohio, Bradford Ian (Meghan) Doig of Columbus, Ohio and Dwight Andrew (Kristen) Doig of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren, Violet and Azalea Steele, Quinn Doig, Leah and Noah Doig; brothers, Paul (Nancy) Zehr of Modesto, California, Tim (Kim) Zehr of Inman, Kansas, Dennis Zehr of Shawnee, Kansas, Farrell (Jan) Zehr of Highlands, North Carolina, John (Joann) Zehr of Harrison Valley, Pennsylvania; sister, Carol (Ron) Brown of Shawnee, Kansas.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St. (state Route 161 W.), Plain City, Ohio. Burial will take place at later date at the convenience of the family.
