MARYSVILLE — Harold W. Dennis, 71, of Marysville, died Friday evening, Feb. 14, 2014, at his home following an extended illness.

He was a retired professional truck driver.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Plain City VFW.

In his spare time he was an avid reader and enjoyed watching TV.

Harold was born Sept. 7, 1942 in Clendenin, W. Va., to the late Ivan W. and Nellie E. Runion Dennis.

He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katrina Gingerich.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ruth Ann Lemon Dennis whom he married March 19, 1966 in Prospect; his children, Craig Dennis of Columbus, Christopher (Lori) Dennis of Galloway, Charles (Wendy) Dennis of Marion, Amanda (Christopher) Mitchell of Virginia; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Sue (William) Bostic of Clay W. Va. and Brenda Kay (Jeff) Williams of Clendenin, W. Va.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at the Dobbin Cemetery near Clay, W. Va.

Memorial contributions may be made in Harold's memory to the of the donor in care of INGRAM FUNERAL HOME, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, who is completing arrangements.
