GENEVIÈVE "JEAN" MOORE
PLAIN CITY — Geneviève "Jean" Moore, 92, of Plain City, beloved mother, wife and friend, was welcomed into the Holy Realm of God on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at noon at the Carlyle House, Kettering, Ohio.
Born April 25, 1921 in Normandy, France.
She was known for her delightful French accent, her beautiful singing voice, and her generous and loving spirit. She was a longtime musician and devoted member of the Plain City St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by parents: Rene and Renee (Veaugois) Lebailly; husband, Warren G. Moore in 2009; and infant son, James Emanuel Wood.
Survived by loving children, Dominique (Karen) Wood of Fla., Kathryn (Gil) Wall of Colo., Jacqueline Wood of Mo., Johnnie (Meg) Wood of Plain City, Therese (Michael) Kunesh of Dayton and Daniel (Boel) Wood of Sweden; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Pierre (Paule) Lebailly of Vire, France and Jean (Yvette) Lebailly of Vire, France; sister, Marguerite Callipel of Vire, France.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 140 West Ave., Plain City, with Celebrant Father Patrick Toner.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St. (state Route 161 W.), Plain City, with Rosary Service at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Martin Porres Fund at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
