ROSE MARIE "RINK" PEARSON PENDLETON
PLAIN CITY - Rose Marie "Rink" Pearson Pendleton, 86, of Ft. Myers, Fla., passed away Thursday evening, April 3, 2014, at her residence.
Born Feb. 24, 1928 in Union County, Ohio.
Rink was a teacher for 18 years in central Ohio and 20 years in Bonita Springs, Fla.
She loved to play bridge, swim and knit. Rink had a great sense of humor and loved to bring smiles to the faces of others.
Preceded in death by her parents, Sam S. and May (Smith) Hennigh; first husband, John W. Pearson in 1965; second husband, Donald "DP" Pendleton in 2001; brother, John D. Hennigh in 2002; and stepson, Larry Pendleton.
Survived by her loving children, Lyle Pearson of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Lynn (Mark) Edwards of Melbourne, Fla.; grandchildren, Jay (Sydney) Samples, USAF Warner Robbins, Mandi Samples, USAF Peace, Heather (Chuck) Branding, Franklin, Tenn., Kyle Pearson, Punta Gorda, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Reagan and Taylor Samples and Max Branding; sister, Mary (Charlie) Drakoulakos of Florida; sister-in-law, Jeanne Hennigh of Raymond, Ohio; stepchildren, Sherry (Tom) Yost, Jerry (Marge) Pendleton, Donnie (Judy) Pendleton and Robin Pendleton.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 Main St. (state Route 161 W.), Plain City, where the funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, and burial at Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City. Pastor Phil Conrad officiated.
