Beckous, Gertrude - Ramona  
Gertrude Beckous passed away peacefully on the afternoon of December 9, 2014. She had just celebrated her 88th birthday on December 3 with visits and phone calls from her children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, Sophie and Adolph; brother, Frank; and sister, Mutz. She is survived by her children, Frank (Marilynne) Beckous, Bonnie (Darren) Giacomini, Harry Beckous, Mark Beckous, Barbie (Carol) Beckous, and Beth (Rob) Blase; grandchildren, Frank (Jaime) Beckous, Laura Malmstrom, Dan (Christina) Beckous, Nate Beckous, Ryan (Megan) Giacomini, Robi Giacomini, Alex Archambault, Ashli Archambault, Matt Blase, and Chris Blase; and great-grandchildren, Josh, Emma, Becca, Zach, Elijah, Amelia, Ronan, Alex and Aidan. Per her wishes, there will be no services. A special thank you to all the staff at Redwood Terrace Skilled Nursing Facility for taking such excellent care of our mother during her final months. Your caring and kindness is appreciated more than words can express.

Ely, Mary - Ramona  
Mary Ely passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014, one day short of celebrating her 98th birthday. She was born December 15, 1916, in Yorba Linda, California, to John and Maud Quigley. She married Walter Kenneth Ely on September 5, 1937, and they enjoyed 60 years together before Walter's death in 1998. Mary was a long time resident of Ramona where she loved her church, singing in the choir and cultivating her roses. She was the nucleus of the extended family and kept everyone in touch via "Ely Central". Although she is mourned by so many, her family is thankful for her long life and happy she has peacefully gone to her rest. Mary is survived by six of her seven children, Mary Kay Hoagland, John Everett Ely, Frederic Humphrey Ely. Walter Kenneth Ely II, Charles Michael Ely and Russell Graham Ely; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Her second daughter, Margaret Anne Smith, preceded her in death. A private celebration of Mary's life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Ramona.

Macon, Emily - Ramona  
A wonderful woman made her way to a better place on November 27, 2014. Emily Macon was a 39 year Ramona, California, resident, and will be much missed having been a vibrant and active member of the community. Emily was a local real estate agent for over 20 years. She also had over 2,000 hours logged with the Sheriffs Volunteer Patrol, and she was a 30 year member of the First Christian Church of Ramona. Compassion was her nature, as she touched many. Emily was born in Chicago on October 16, 1926, to Archie and Hazel Frost. On April 5, 1944, she married Joseph Taylor Macon in the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. They had four sons, Joe, Alan, Marc and Dennis, and a foster son, Steve Altstatt. The family lived for 24 years in Norwalk, CA, before moving to Ramona in 1975. Emily spent her final days with her eldest son, Joe, and his wife, Holly, at their home in Pahrump, NV. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph, and her son, Dennis. She is survived by three sons; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A small memorial service will be held at a later date.

St. Clair, Bereniece "Bee" (Langham) - San Diegp  
Bereniece "Bee" Langham St. Clair, 83, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at her home on November 30, 2014. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, to William and Bonnie Langham on June 15, 1931. She grew up in the Chicagoland area, graduating from Hyde Park High School. Bee spent most of her career as an insurance adjuster both in Chicago and Bloomington. In Chicago, she worked for Bankers Life and Casualty. After the family moved to Bloomington, she continued her career path at State Farm Insurance, Country Companies and Van Gundy Insurance in Normal, Illinois, with a short time at St. Joseph's Hospital as an Emergency Room administrator for health care claims. Retirement from Van Gundy took her to the San Diego area. There she began her "second career" and second love, travel. Bee initially traveled with friends and family but her interests led her to escorting various trips for travel groups. She planned and escorted many trips for the Jocelyn Center in RB. She helped start the Rancho Bernardo Continuing Education Center also. Bee is survived by Micki (Tom) Stern of Wheaton, IL, Ginger (Jon) Case of Sand Point, ID, Leah Johnson of La Mesa, CA, and William (Melissa) Neise of Fontana, CA; grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Licht, Kevin (Stephanie) Licht, Stephen Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Zachary Neise and Jeffery Neise; as well as two great-grandchildren. Bee was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Dwight and Dean. A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
