Bob was born January 24, 1928, in Manhattan, New York. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps for 22 years, retiring as Master Sergeant. He worked for the County of San Diego for 20 years, retiring as Manager of the Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department.
Bob was one of a small group of survivors from the 1950 Battle of the Chosin Reservoir in Korea.
Bob is survived by his wife, Dixie Brennick, of Poway. He was predeceased by his first wife, Louise. Also surviving are his daughter, Cindy Boyce; granddaughter, Brittany Boyce; and his great-grandson, Bentley Boyce, all of California.
There will be a Memorial Get-together for Bob on March 25, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 94th Aero Squadron, San Diego.
