Patricia Garvin passed away at her home, surrounded by family on Friday, December 7, 2012, after a long battle with polycystic kidney disease. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on August 15, 1941. |
She moved to Escondido at the age of 12. While living in Escondido, she met and married her husband of 49 years. In 1977, they moved their family to Ramona where she remained until her passing. She was welcomed to Ramona by other parents she met while involved with her children's sports, and started hosting and playing Bunko with them. After her children were grown, she continued her involvement in sports and other activities with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Kelly; son, Michael; grandchildren, Justin, Allyson and Courtney; and her great-grandson, Aden.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 1 P.M. at Bonham Bros. and Stewart Mortuary in Ramona.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation towards research for a cure.
