Born March 14, 1921, in Trinidad, Colorado, Ralph joined the Marines in 1939 and trained to work on aircraft. Stationed in Hawaii, Ralph survived being wounded on December 7th. He helped keep the planes in the air for Midway and the defense of Guadalcanal. Retiring after 20 years, he then spent 31 years in the aerospace industry, even working on projects for the Space Shuttle.|
Ralph will be missed by all of us who loved him. He is survived by his children, Ralph Jr., Nancy and Mary; grandchildren, Scott, Susan, Charles and Jon; sisters, Edith and Donna; second wife, Edith; and his step-children, Kirk, Daryl and Michelle.
A military memorial service will be held June 4, 2013, at 10:45am at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. All are invited to attend.
