PORT CLINTON: Heaven has gained another angel as Patricia J. Bowen, 77, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born on June 7, 1935 in Elmore, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lester and Iva (Rose) Heineman. During her working career she worked at Aim Packaging in the quality control department, and then worked for Foodtown in Toledo in the bakery department as a cake decorator. Her hobbies included going shopping, making floral arrangements, and baking. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her former husband, Sonny Bowen; children Cathy (Samuel) Halstead, Port Clinton, Leonard (Jan) Bowen, Dothan, Alabama, Susan Kokinda, Frankfort, Illinois, James (Sharon) Bowen, Wilder, Kentucky, Nancy Calvert, Port Clinton, Lisa Kuras, Phoenix, Arizona; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and sister, Janice Crone, Gibsonburg, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Cindy Baumes; son-in-law Larry Kokinda; longtime companion, Fred Hasbrock; sisters, Frances Damschroder and Maryann Diebert; and brother, Thomas Heineman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 4-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11am.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
