Bobbie G. Henley
CHURCH HILL, TN: Bobbie G. Henley, 76, of Church Hill, TN, passed away Friday (Feb. 8, 2013) after a brief illness.
Born on Nov. 18, 1936, she grew up in Keokee, VA, and later resided in Marblehead, OH for many years where she and her late husband raised their family. For the past 20 years she has lived in Church Hill, TN where she was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards, gardening, canning, crocheting, and visiting casinos. Bobbie loved life, and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Newton R. Holmes and Frankie Holmes; her husband of 43 years, Sylvain Henley; and her brother, Stanley Holmes.
She is survived by her children, Mike Lawson and wife Dinah of Church Hill, TN, Myra Burnette of Sandusky, OH, Marsha Skinner and husband Mark of Port Clinton, OH, Marty Henley and wife Sandi of Mt Carmel, TN, Merle Henley and wife Tammy of Sevierville, TN; foster daughter, Phyllis Stoops of OH; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings, Nadine McMurray, Walter Holmes, and Ulice Holmes, all of Marblehead, OH, and her long-time companion, James Bradshaw of Church Hill, TN and his children, Kathy Cradic, Jeff Bradshaw and Jerry Bradshaw, Church Hill, TN.
The family will received friends on Sunday February 10, 2013 at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill, TN. A graveside service was conducted on Monday in the Holmes Family Cemetery, Keokee, VA. with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
