Donald A. Wierzba

SANDUSKY: Donald A. Wierzba, 67, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Friday evening, February 1, 2013, at his home.

Born on April 10, 1945, in Port Clinton, OH the son of the late Julian and Anna (Kosco) Wierzba. Don was a 1963 graduate of Port Clinton High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was a recipient of the bronze star, and had also, served in Korea and Germany. Don was a life member and past officer of the AMVETS Post # 17 and Chaplain for District # 13, life member of the V.F.W. Post # 2529, life member of the D.A.V. and a life member of the American Legion Post # 83.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy A. (Nielsen Wierzba; sister, Theresa (Robley "Blackie," Sr.) Blackford of Gypsum, OH; nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he also was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Wierzba.

At his request, private visitation will be held and cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the family in his name.
