Harry Ransom Kleinhans, Sr.

MERRILL, WI: Harry Ransom Kleinhans, Sr. of Merrill, WI passed on to be with our Lord on December 31st, 2012.

Harry was born on May 31, 1931 in Port Clinton, OH, the youngest son of Ivan C. and Eva J. (McRitchie) Kleinhans. Harry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolores (Bingham) Kleinhans. The two were married on June 12th, 1955 in Las Vegas, NV.

Harry is also survived by his brother James Ivan Kleinhans; sister Janice (Kleinhans) Klenk; children Linda (Paulson) Kleinhans of Merrill, Patricia (Richard) Stewart of Merrill, Michael (Tammy) Kleinhans of Manitowoc, Kathryn (Kip) Knowles of Mattoon, Susan (Robert) Locke of Merrill, and Gerald (Jane) Kleinhans of Merrill; 32 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, son Harry Jr.; and grandson Lee.

Harry served four years in the U. S. Air Force, including a tour of duty in the Korean Theater stationed on Guam. He was honorably discharged August 13th, 1955 as an Airman 1st Class with a National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.

Harry was kind and loving, a devoted husband and father who adored having his children and grandchildren around him. He was a strong, faithful man who loved and served the Lord with his whole heart. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. Harry is loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Harry at 11:00 AM on Satuday, January 5th, 2013 at New Testament Church, N2519 County Hwy K, Merrill, WI. A light luncheon will follow. Harry's son, Reverend Michael R. Kleinhans, Sr., will be officiating.
